High Abrasion Resistant Alloy Cast Blades Of Spiral Classifier Machinery For Mineral Processing Plant
Product Overview
The spiral classifier (Screw classifier) is a piece of mineral processing equipment. This mechanical classification device exploits the fact that solid particles of different specific gravities settle at different speeds in liquid. It screens the mineral powder ground in the mill, uses spiral blades to carry the coarse material back into the mill feed inlet, and sends the screened fine material out through the overflow pipe.
In mineral processing plants, spiral classifiers are paired with ball mills to build a closed-circuit loop that separates mineral sand. They also serve gravity beneficiation plants for grading ore sand and fine mud, handle particle size classification of slurry in metal beneficiation, and perform desliming and dewatering in mineral washing operations.
1. Classifier Blades
The blade is the most critical working part of a classifier, so it needs highly abrasion-resistant material. It is cast as a composite from a new, high-quality Cr-Mn alloy steel, and it lasts longer in service than blades made from other alloy materials.
