As an efficient crushing equipment, the Tower mill has the following comprehensive advantages compared to ball mill/vertical mill and Raymond mill under specific working conditions: By relying on strong squeezing, grinding, and internal grading of mineral materials, Tower mills greatly reduce system power.  In general usage scenarios, energy savings can reach over 50%, while in special usage scenarios, the energy savings are extremely high, greatly reducing production costs. By relying on internal grading, the Tower mill can easily process mineral sand into products with the required fineness, which can be adjusted between 74-1 μ m. By adjusting the feeding amount and particle size of a Tower grinder, its production capacity and product particle size can be controlled, greatly improving the adaptability of the equipment.
The tower mill operates at low speed and is an industrial equipment with high reliability and long service life. It has strong adaptability to the hardness and grindability of mineral materials, and has achieved large-scale production of micrometer-level products. The tower mill is mainly composed of a transmission system, tower body, spiral agitator, protective lining, etc. In the production process, a certain amount of grinding media is required, mainly using grinding steel balls.
High chromium grinding balls were cast with high chrome (10-28% Cr) alloy material. These grinding balls advantage as:  high hardness ( HRC 58- 67 ), high wear resistance, low breakage rate, and high corrosion resistance.

Product Advantage

Lower consumption cost
Because high-chrome grinding balls have higher hardness and can be made with different contents of Chromium (10-28%), this kind of grinding media consumption will be only 25%-65% as forged steel & lower chrome casting balls, which are used to Ball mill & Tower mill. For some special minerals that have the highest hardness, such as Quartz sand, choose high-chrome ultra (Cr: 23-28%) casting steel balls; the grinding media consumption cost will be much lower than other kinds of grinding media.

Higher hardness
High Chromium casting balls with special heat treatment processing (Oil quench & annealing) will have higher hardness than forged grinding balls. 10% Cr- Chromium casting ball, ball diameter size Φ10 - Φ70 mm, grinding ball hardness can be HRC 66, much higher than forging ball and low-chrome steel ball. And the ball surface & core hardness difference is less than HRC 1.

Customized alloy Steel composition
NGZR foundry can follow the customer’s requirement to readjust the Chemical Composition of Chromium alloy content (1.0-28%) and other metallic element, with special heat-treatment processing, which can make this casting steel ball have different technical parameters, such as hardness / Impact Value / Breakage and de-shaping rate / micro- structure / high PH degree of acid or alkali resistant/high temperature resistance etc, to match customer’s diffent required.

Customized grinding media shape
NGZR can develop and make different shapes of grinding media, such as: Grinding ball (Sphere) / Grinding cylpebs ( Cylinder) / Grinding egg ( Ellipsoid) / Polyhedron Shape and other special customized shapes. Different shape grinding media will have better grinding effect with different grinding conditions.

Lower breakage & out-of-roundness rate
Depend oncontrolling raw material quality / advanced casting production equipment & special heat-treatment processing, the high chromium casting grinding ball product of NGZR has good Physical Property, large size casting ball breakage & Out-of-roundness rate will be less than 1%; small-size casting ball breakage & Out-of-roundness rate will be less than 0.5%.

The company mainly produces high-chromium, medium-chromium, and low-chromium alloy cast balls, cast sections; ball mill liners; crusher guards, hammers, etc. It also has a casting ball workshop, casting workshop, white mold cutting workshop, heat treatment workshop, raw material workshop, finished product workshop, and physical property testing room.

The company is equipped with 2 fully automatic iron mold sand coating production lines, 4 mechanical arm shell molding machines, 1 fully automatic lost foam mold production line, 1 fully automatic heat treatment quenching + reheat treatment production line, 2 automatic flipping annealing furnaces, 3 sets of VIP-1800 series melting furnaces, cabinet-type PRO spectrometer, carbon-sulfur analyzer, hardness tester, far-infrared temperature measuring instrument, etc. The production and testing equipment is complete and comprehensive. Temperature-controlled melting, constant-temperature pouring, automatic temperature-controlled quenching, and annealing have been achieved, and many technologies are at the forefront of the industry.

The product specifications are complete, meeting the needs of customers for different materials of cast balls, cast sections, ball mill liners, crusher guards, hammers, etc., ranging from Ф8mm to Ф150mm. The company now has an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons of cast balls and castings.
